Shubham Jain is a first year undergraduate studying Computer Science at UCL. Prior to this, he took a gap year to work in industry where he worked on the front-end, back-end, and DevOps aspects of various projects. He's a mobile and full-stack developer with experience in Flutter (Dart), and JavaScript (Node/React). He's also an MLH Fellow contributing to open source projects with other students from around the world.
Weronika Wiesolek is a Natural Sciences student majoring in Physics and Computer Science. She likes all things connected to AI/ML and scientific computing. She's been programming for 4 years in many languages, among which she particularly likes Python. She is happy to answer any of your questions!
Ajiboye Fatimo Happiness is an android developer. She is also a country leader, influencer, global ambassador of WomenTech Network, City Lead, She Code Africa. She is from Port Harcourt, Rivers State, Nigeria.
Kate Narciso is currently a postgrad student at Goldsmiths studying MSc Computer Games Programming. She did her undergrad in Linguistics, and most of her projects focus on NLP within games (like NPC dialogue systems!). In her free time she does archery and draws comics.
Rachna Tiwari is a final year computer science student from India. She is a full-stack web developer specialising in JavaScript Technologies across the stack (MongoDB, Express, React, NodeJS). Experienced in building complete web applications with back-end API systems. She has worked previously in designing and multimedia processing for the fashion industry.
Ubaid Hoque is a recent graduate from the University of Warwick and an incoming graduate software engineer at Macquarie Group. He's an avid football fan and also enjoy reading and listening to podcasts.
Samuel O'Hagan is from Los Angeles, California however he's currently studying Artificial Intelligence and Computer Science at The University of Edinburgh. For the last two summers he's been interning as a Tech intern at Macquarie Group in London and Wing Bank in Phnom Penh, Cambodia.
Lovely singh is a communicative, driven and impactful young girl from India. A Final year student of B.Tech(CSE) from Galgotias University. Karl Kareem Melaimi is studying Electronic & Information Engineering at Imperial College and graduate in '22. He is drawn to the challenges presented by applied maths & physics that manifest in computational finance and as such have a passion for statistics and programming!
Priya Aggarwal is currently pursuing Master of Computer Applications (MCA) at Indira Gandhi Delhi Technical University for Women(IGDTUW), Delhi. Being a technology enthusiast, she loves to explore new technologies and leverage it to solve real life problems. She is driven by the will to create an impact and encourage diversity and inclusion in communities.
Temi Olukoko currently works as a Software Developer at BT on their Technology Graduate Scheme, which she joined last September, 2019. She is an advocate for getting more Black women into the tech industry and outside of work, she creates educational tech content and occasionally speaks at tech events!
Hassiba Boukari is a 2019 graduate working as an Analyst at North Highland Management Consulting. She also has a strong passion for data and technology, and has recently started studying her part-time masters in Computer Science at the University of Bath.
George Taylor is a recent graduate with a Masters in Computer Science, currently working in the financial industry developing trading systems with a focus on metal and agricultural commodity trading. His passions in technology have been focused mostly around mathematics and machine learning approaches to developing intelligent systems but he has gained a broad range of experience over the last few years. In his personal life he is an avid climber and mountaineer and I’m currently working through qualifications to take this to a professional level.
Akua Apeagyei is a Software Engineer Apprentice at Lyst and has been in the industry for almost 2 years. She works in a back-end engineering team using Python as her main programming language but has also worked with JavaScript and React.
Tiwalade Elegbede is a data scientist at Vodafone. She studied Chemical Engineering at the University of Nottingham and after graduating joined Vodafone on their technology graduate scheme. On her first placement, she was a SIEM Analyst in cybersecurity. For her second placement, she was a Technical Programme Manager and she is now a Data Scientist on her third and final placement.
James Penson currently works as a Data Engineer at Facebook on a team looking at account integrity. He spent most of his career at PwC first as a technology consultant on enterprise IT projects, then as an engineer in an internal data analytics team. He's worked on problems such as how to schedule auditors to minimise travel time and building a search tool for tax teams to sift through large volumes of annual reports.
Paul Popa is currently a software engineer at Kainos. Although he's at the start of his career, he is passionate about sharing what he's learned with others. He is looking forward to seeing the projects and working with enthusiastic individuals to help create something exciting.
Kemi Iyaniwura is a Cyber Security engineer, which means she delivers new cyber solutions for key accounts including designing, building and configuration solutions. She is also passionate about making security easily understood and applied to the everyday person.
Krishnendu (Krish) Dasgupta is a Data Scientist by profession. His work spans across Supply Chain, Economics, Health and Cyber. Krish graduated Computer Science Engineering from VTU, India. He is also an Alumnus from Innovation and Entrepreneurship program. MIT Bootcamps. He has 10 years of experience working with MNCs and Startups. Currently , he is advising startups in NLP domain and Health domain. His skills are in Machine Learning , Natural Language Processing ,Economics, Computer Vision, Statistics and Business Management. Krish has been part of multiple hackathons as participant, mentor and Judge.
Amina Aweis is a writer, content creator and Software Engineer. She is also an ambassador for London Screen Academy which is a sixth form founded by names in the industry behind the production of the Harry Potter series, James Bond and Paddington. She is also 1/3 of The Black Muslim Girl Podcast (TBMG) which is a space for Black Muslim girls to vibe, elevate, educate each other. Amina is passionate about authentic storytelling and believes it’s what connects people together. She is also pushing to get more women into the tech industry.
Stephen Chapendama is a Senior Software Engineer working in Cyber & Intelligence for Raytheon UK and also a volunteer for Foundervine working as their Technology Manager and helping deliver programs to support entrepreneurs. An alumni of the University of Hertfordshire with a BSc in Computer Science (Networks), Stephen has previously worked for the Infrastructure Development team at the University of Hertfordshire, focusing on SIEM and cyber security. Stephen has experience within the tech sector having worked for BlackBerry as a Global Network Operations Centre Operator and also Bulletproof as a Security Operations Centre Analyst. Further experience in cyber security includes working for global IT services company Fujitsu as Platforms Lead (Infrastructure Engineer) working within the Advanced Threat Centre.
